Lab 6
This week at St. Mary's was my final visit to St. Mary's. It had an emotional moment at the end when I realized my work at St. Mary's was all done. However, this lab itself showed me new aspects thanks to the older kids that I had not seen in previous labs. For instance, playing checkers with these two students showed me a noticable difference in how the fine motor skills work. When I was playing checkers with them I noticed how they could think quickly about their next move throughout the game. When I played checkers with the younger students I noticed quite the opposite and how it either took time for them to think about their next move or just would move right after I moved which made me think they did not notice and were not thinking about my last move. This lab also made the point of these older students wanting to play their own activities more resounding because after like the first activity only a quarter of the older students really participated in the next activity.

Good and Bad Moments
Throughout my life my track career has kept me inspired to be the best I can be at whatever I do. However, throughout my track career like throughout most people who participate in athletics I have had ups and downs. More of my careers has been ups then downs though. Mainly my downs have been bad races or injuries that were caused from overtraining.

Lab 5
This week at St. Mary's I had my most challenging experience. I was working with the cafeteria group which is the older kids in the after school program at St. Mary's. They showed me a new side I really had not seen in the kids in previous labs as after the first two activities none of them really seemed interested in participating in the activities anymore. However, some of the kids decided they would just so they could play more of the games they wanted to. After the 4 college students including me went through and played our activities with the children we let them play the activities that they wanted to play because they played our activities so we decided to allow them to have more fun and play what they wanted to. It was a big change from the first 4 labs in which the first 4 labs every kid wanted to play our activity and this lab not as many wanted to.

St. Mary's Lab 4
Overall at St. Mary's there have been many challenges that the students have had to learn to deal with. But if we just learn some helpful hints we can prevent those challenges from becoming a bigger problem. Overall this week at St. Mary's was what showed me the true nature of the challenges that you will face out in the real world. Their was this one kid who I kept trying to get focused on the activity but he was too interested in my watch. I really enjoyed making the collage to present to St.Mary's this week of lab because it showed off all the Cortland students abilities to associate and get along with the students of St.Mary's. All in all although lab 4 showed me true challenges that I will one day face as a Phys. Ed. Teacher it also made me think of how to work through those challenges to make it a positive learning environment.

St. Mary's Lab 3
Lab 3 at St.Mary's was a huge success. My activity based on the western theme of the lab went very well and the kids seemed to love playing it. I learned that it is good to be enthusiastic about your games/activities because then the kids will want to know what the game/activity is. I also learned from lab 3 that different kids have different type movement patterns and some are maybe not as noticeable as others. But I did realize with this lab that the kids can execute the movement patterns some it just takes longer to process the information and remember what they need to do in the movement pattern.

Chapter 1 presentation
In Chapter one I got the most out of it from the abilties section of the chapter. This section really shows the different areas the child has to develop throughout childhood and adult life

Lab 2
Overall, I thought this lab was very effective. In this lab I observed various students movement patterns and completed a small rubric about it. I overall thought the lab went very well as the students for the most part seemed very interested in the activities presented to them.
